| Program Information |
| The Little Lion Youth Wrestling program provides elementary age children with the opportunity to participate in the challenging sport of wrestling. Coaches provide basic skills and fun workouts for the beginner wrestler while providing advanced wrestling technique and high endurance conditioning to the experienced wrestler. The program is designed for all children grades 1st to 6th. Children 6 and under are welcome with parental supervision. |
| Practice Location/Schedule |
| Practices are held at the Fairmount School (Fairmount Ave/Fraser St) on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 6:15 - 7:45 PM. Practices begin November 17, 2008 and continue through until late February 2009. |
| Program Fundraisers |
| Our tournament and scrimmage concessions are our largest fundraiser. We ask that each family try to donate one or two items, as well as some of their time in helping setup and run these events. When we get donations from the parents, this eliminates the need for us to have a mandatory fundraiser. Sign-ups for concessions will be done via the web. Please click on the left-side 'Concessions/Donations' link for more information.
A non-mandatory fundraiser we are trying this year is 'Community Night' at Hoss's on North Atherton Street - Tuesday, December 16, 2008. If you did not receive a parent packet, which contains the Hoss's card to be used for this fundrasier, please see a team Mom at practice. |
| Equipment Exchange |
| The program holds an equipment exchange during the “Back to Wrestling Night.” Bring your used shoes and headgear for other wrestlers to utilize during the season. |
| Registration |
| Registration was held on October 15, but it's not too late to submit a registration form. Program Cost
is $40 per wrestler; Family rate $60.
